Between 7 and 8 weeks. Wouldn't want it to be earlier than 7 weeks.

If I went to buy one I'd want 8 weeks.

Rescued like these they came from 4 weeks (mojo) to 18 weeks (Tess) Bruce was 8 weeks but he was decided on rather than taking one of the older ones
Skye Im told was 9 weeks(or so the PF said ) but she looked more like 11 weeks

I got Arrow at exactly 7 weeks... the breeder said in her experience it is the best age, and that when left until 8 weeks they can go through a fear stage.

It is funny though, because I got Jake when he was 8 weeks and 1 day. The SSPCA told us he was 7 weeks, and it was only when I worked it out from his D.O.B that I realised his actual age. Before that though, I mentioned on here that I got him at 7 weeks, and I was shot down in flames by certain members because of this, and the rescue were criticised harshly... so, reading this has been very interesting

I had our 2 at 5 and a half weeks.. they just had started to eat themselves.. they are absolutely fine.. was very lucky though as I also got a 7 year old bitch who acted as their mum.. was really lovely how she took over that role.. they are 11 months old now and absolutely wonderful

Rescues are always criticised harshly, very often unjustifiably so.

Shooting down in flames seems to be an occupation for some so I hope you let it wash over you and enjoyed your baby regardless

I got Kestral at 12 weeks. This is when the breeder lets her dogs go after all their vaccs. It is 4 weeks later than most, including another buhund breeder I went to see.

I have always wondered if this late start could go a small way to contributing to her behaviours now but I don't know.

5 weeks for one (aggression issues - but also health issues)
7 weeks for 2 (from a breeder - no issues so far)
9 or 13 weeks for another (Breeder said one thing, paperwork said another! Has a few issues with people, but fear - no aggression.)
Jasper was 12 weeks I think - but he had been out to another home for a week and been returned to the breeder. No issues there.

Somewhere in between the 7/8 week for me.

A couple of friends of mine send their pups home at 8 weeks , maybe a day or so earlier depending on timescale and has never had any comeback concerning pups temperament due to this
