woohoo, major first for Stumpy today

Falling in the river must've done something to Stumpy .

We met one of my neighbours in the street just now with her big bc, Zak. we'd just finished our walk and she was just going.

Anyway - Stumpy greeted Zak in a friendly way and then, much to my amazement, started to play bow and frolic around.

So I asked if we could walk a little way with them off lead (not on the street) and Stumpy was like a wee pup She was play bowing, prancing, jumping around, woo-wooing at him and generally trying hard to get him to play.

When he just stood there wagging his tail she tried harder and then in her enthusiasm smacked him round the head twice with her paw (in a friendly way)

I think she needs to learn some play manners, but for those who know Stumpy, this really is a major, major event and I'm just so chuffed.

Just wish I'd had my camera - me and Zak's owner were in stitches at her attempts to get him to play.

I really hope this is the start to her wanting to play with other dogs too

I wonder if that is it, though Zak is a huge bc and usually she doesn't like the bigger dogs at all.

Thanks Ramble, yes, I couldn't stop grinning. it would've been perfect if Zak had played back, but he'd been on a long walk earlier in the day and as an older dog, didn't have the energy
