The good thing about Crufts is...

it makes me feel less isolated. I am bored by dog shows as a rule but I have been happily watching the live feed this week because all those people - audience, participants, staff - make me feel a bit less like an endangered minority (or a daft old bat). It`s been great especially to see the youngsters, and to see the teams - so enthusiastic about their hobby. These days it seems people who love dogs are under threat much of the time and it is heartening to see so many normal people having a great time with their dogs.
