We use Zone Alarm for firewall and AVG free version and seems to be fine. Norton tends to run really heavily

agree with you there it is good but it slows down the computer costs money and if you make a mistake and block something you didn`t want to difficult to undo it unless you know how to, and difficult to uninstall when you have it installed ( i mean that you get rid of everything )

Fred you said the avg free was good, that what I`ve got should I get the other avast as well

never heard of the nod 1, is it any good

don`t need two if you want to you can uninstall the avg ( they are having a problem with the updates how long it will last no idea ) and install this one the free personal edition www.avast.com no trouble with that one not as i know of and it has all the protection you really need i have seen it stop a few things

an antivirus programe is as good as it`s updates the same with adaware

do i just uninstall avg like normal then install avast, you don`t need to dial up do you?

no just uninstall then install the new one shouldn`t have any problems
