Picky Eaters

From time to time we all have had dogs who won't eat. These are some things to add to a dogs meal to make it more palatable.

Take 3 tablespoons of wet dog food, or conserved meat and stir it into a cup and a half of hot water, it makes a type of gravy. Then pour the gravy into the dogs dry food.

You can also use just wet food well mixed into the dry food or mixer.

The oil from a tin of tuna, not brine though.

A little bit of cottage cheese added can make a difference, but make sure you dog doesn't have an allergy to dairy products.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

When we 'weened' the kittens onto solid food we used pilchards in tomato sauce...

My girl is going through the picky pregnant stage, at the moment it's pasta with tuna in sunflower oil, that's the only thing she will eat today. Tried the cottage cheese, tried the sardines in tomato sauce, grated cheese sometimes works, or hard boiled eggs.

Yesterday was TRIPE day today she sniffs it and walks away

Oh well, what she doesn't eat the others get, such a varied diet.....lol.

Ours just love gravy!

They also love cottage cheese which is surprising considering there isn't much taste in it!

Do you think these tricks can help when its a false pregnancy? My girl only eats half of what she should. I've written about the false pregnancy under health so won't mention it here aswell.

But I'm getting a bit worried as we are on 1 week today with unregular(?) eating habits

I hate it when they go off their food Star gets stomach upsets really easily and wont eat, and loses weight really quickly so I try to add things to tempt her.

I grate cheese or add toast, basically anything that Star loves more than food.

Well I have a bit of a problem there. I can't stand cheese and don't have it in the house.! But I do have canned tuna in water not oil. I could mix that in.
