I have always enjoyed Christmas griff for the first time this year I haven't made a Christmas cake or put a tree up.
Just too fed up and worn out with all that's gone on and worrying about how hard Christmas day will be this year with Brewster in the equation.
Never felt this way before with any of my other dogs.
I'm hoping it will not be as bad as I fear.

I think that's sensible of your mum to not say anything to aunty and thoughtful .

We got to Ben's yard for coffee and cake.It rained on the drive over but stopped once we got there.
Brewster got some good socialising in but was wary of a man with a walker and two other men I think they were a bit quick with the hand to stroke, one of the other men he was much better with he took things slower.
He loved the ladies and while I was further back chatting to someone he and Gorden met a lady from a village not too far away who has 3 Bernese, they were not with her today.

After being a pain pulling and waiting for the ramp and jumping and grabbing at Gordens coat when he came in the door after parking the car he was good.
No impulse control whatsoever at the moment.
The essential time for him has gone with him being under house arrest (for the best reasons) all will come good and I doubt yor worst fears will come true it will pass Christmas well.

Mum doesn't find it hard to tell people at all, she's very calm about it all and if you think about it....she had accepted it last summer when I found out he was having an affair. One of the women messaged me and said " sorry your mum and dad are having a rough time at the moment"....mum made it plain her marriage is over, I just replied and said that I don't have a dad and that mum would be o.k because I would make sure she was. She told her cousin in Ireland last night and asked that she didn't tell her mum (mum's aunty) she is 92 and would be very upset so she won't be told and when mum goes home they will just be told that he couldn't get time off work and that's why he isn't there. I wouldn't be surprised if the boys don't come over and give him a hiding

Did your consulatant like the pen? and this Christmas will be magical and stress free.

Another nice morning out with unexpected nice and dry weather

The buggars are not only draining the lake, but have closed it all off the the first and last part of Ted's walk were through the deserted car park. He did get his park walk though so all is well.

Got the baubles for the Christmas tree, now waiting for the hooks to put them on. They should be here on Thursday or Friday

Kazz, I don't know if he like the pen... it is for Christmas so hopefully he has been a good boy and not opened it. I doubt it will be stress free....every day is stressful at the moment, there's my dad, now we apparently have a rat in the loft....we all have independent roofs and we have the old flat roof in situ...I can only assume it's something to do with the marvellous old owners of next door...there was a massive bang and a scream last week late at night from next door...guess I know why now....sigh, something else for me to do, traps are ordered and I will sort that Thursday. I shan't even go into my drama at the dr's.... trying to mix private health care with NHS is a bloody minefield.
Lynn, I reckon you are getting all the issues over and done with at the start
Chris, Steve found the same thing, bought baubles yet needed hooks.

Brenda, forgot to say, I popped your card in the post today....I didn't send one for your menagerie though!
Consultant has emailed me back, apparently my GP should be able to prescribe my drugs as a shared care agreement is for new starters, not veterans lol he said if they can't, pop up on the 23rd and he will leave me the prescription.... then I need to find a chemist with enough supplies or I have none over Christmas...eeek
