My mentor always called girlies' "lady bits" their winkle!

I make my friends cringe because I'm teaching my girls the proper names for their parts. I never had a name for it when I was growing up...it just didn't have a name!

So my girls now know vulva, womb and vagina...we even talked about clitoris the other day because one of them wanted to know what "that bit was" in their vulva. I do cringe slightly internally but decided its best to give them the real names, I mean, we don't call their elbows , knees or chest anything other than what they are!

I have probably told this story before but the Head of the Nursery School my son went to called me in one day and demanded that I stop teaching my son rude words.

Apparently one of the other little boys had told his mother that D called his willy a penis. And his mother complained that my son was using rude words.

😄 it's ludicrous really when you think about it. The only reason we call it other words is because we are embarrassed about its function. Yep vulva and vagina aren't great words....but neither are elbow or ankle!
