Hi I suffer from cold sores aswell but not through the winter. They are brought on through being run down or through damage to the skin due to the cold or heat. I take high doses of vit C and supplement the amino acid L-lysine which is supposed to help. However I have also found a product vey good and does work quickly even though it is very expensive.

i use blisteeze it numbs the pain in the sore and also heals and has a nice taste
