Sounds as though it affected you more than Zena though. Hope you're feeling OK too.

Keep an eye on her mouth just in case of any infeection if there's any broken skin inside. Having said that, the mouth area heals up so quickly you'd probably have noticed if any skin was missing or any cuts.

As for firemen coming to rescue a dog - Zane got his head stuck in the trellis fencing last summer. I thought it was funny at first until he jsut lay down and whimpered. He wasn't in any pain - just stuck. He did look a sight. I hadnothing to break the fence with so my Mom called the fire brigade. They were all kitted out with big gauntlet gloves on - I suppose in case Zane bit them once loose. He jumped up and gave them all kisses. The fireman who actually pulled him out wasn't allowed to leave before being slobbered all over. Dogs really know how to show their appreciation, don't they?!

I reckon tonight Zena could so with some pampering!

Lol yes, Laura, those firemen! After they got the job done and I offered to pay them for their services, they wouldn't have it and said all they wanted was a kiss, so me being me, I puckered up, and they said "not from you, from the pupppeeeee"!!!! Awwww, tcht!

Also reminds me of my Cassie as a puppy, not so tiny then, but still a baby, and I wondered why she was so long out in the garden, and when I went out there, she had managed to get her thick, bushy trousers entrapped including her back legs with this great big thick bramble and she was just standing there, bless her waiting for mummy to come and untangle her! These dogs are sooo very smart aren't they!

This morning, she presented me with a half packet of chewing gum which must have fallen out of Dave's pocket on the drive!!! At least she had the sense this time to bring it in to me instead of eating it!!!!

Thanks Jen, I will pass on those hugs, but she's all hyper at the moment beating poor Georgie up!

Yes, and that's exactly what the ear specialist woman told me when I went to the hospital for a blocked ear, but he won't listen, and he says he only uses them around the outside - yeah right!
