Lynne, amazing you've got it drying up there, torrential here. Had to go out to get lpg in the car as Lona's got a Hot Date on Monday morning. There was an accident on the ring road, looked like they'd spun out of control and hit the barrier, it was hailing, raining.... managed to get to the lpg place before he shut and it was hailing again when I got there, apologised to him for dragging him outside in it!!!
Popped in Asda for eggs for the girls and got some bits from the Casualty Dept. pet mince from the butchers for the girls, glad to be home and out of it, glad of the fire I can tell you.
Aw Lynn, what a disappointing lunch date for you, hope tonights dinner goes well and its something you like.
Lore, lifes always better if you haven't got someone dragging you down and complaining
Moyra, I can't understand why your vet says not to give Amber chicken, maybe chicken drumsticks because if she is trying to lose weight the skin is fatty, but you can get chicken fillets from Iceland and cut them into pieces, add veg, cottage cheese and yogurt, watch the sugar content in the yogurt though, the 0% fat ones sometimes have a high sugar content. White fish like pollock you can get for £4 for a kg of it, again bulk it up with veg. Does your vet want you to buy one of these expensive 'diet' foods from him by any chance that cost fortunes.

Jenny, yes still walking her three sometimes 4 times a day depends if she asks me or not. Oh I cannot wait to get this first three teeth out they are the ones causing me agony. I suppose I ought to go and cook some dinner, think it will be Harry Ramsden's fish and home cooked chips I cannot be bothered to do much else. Have a good evening. I might put in D.a.D later if I am up to it. The trouble is the pain killers are making me so tired.

The dogs have had a run around on the top field, have been fed and are both now asleep stretched out next to each other in doorway Duties done for the day so I now plan to sit on my backside for an hour or so before I cook (it's possible OH will tonight ..... I do hope so )

Thanks Lynne for explaining what Mr S is .... makes sense now but as I haven't got one near me I didn't think of it Sounds as though Taff and the local dogs all had fun playing together
Lore Enjoy your evening chilling while watching TV and eating chocolater
June Rotten for you having vile weather .... its incredible how this small country of ours has such diverse weather Well done for getting the LPG. Is it Lona's 'tease' date on Monday?
Lynn What a shame about your lunch and scotch egg salad really isn't the same without the scotch egg is it I'm sure you'll have a lovely evening and you won't have far to stagger at the end of it will you Is Michael going with you, going home or staying put with Dillon?
Moyra Maybe Amber is trying to keep your mind off your teeth. (((hugs))).

See you all later.

Michael is staying home with Dillon he may get invited when they know he is home.
Gorden didn't know till Tuesday that he was coming home and we had already agreed to go round for dinner.

June, No they haven't told me to use any particular brand just half everything I give her but leave the chicken drumsticks as they are fatty. So she has had plain chicken tonight with meal. I might try her on the turkey mince again tomorrow only last time I tried her on it she didn't want to know. She doesn't like the fact that I have withdrawn her dentastix.

Lynn, I wouldn't think Steve will want to know about walking Amber Though I may be tempted to go to bed for an hour after I get back from the dentist. Very aptly my time of appointment is tooth hurty!!

Dentistix aren't good for them really Moyra, she could have a bone or something instead of one of them. Add lots of steamed veg to her chicken, and also try the white fish or tinned tuna. I took a dog back once, she was 17 months and weighed in at 50kg she was grossly overfed and overweight and it had actually done a lot of damge to her skeleton when I had her x rayed. But I got her down to 37kg on the chicken and fish with veg, cottage cheese and bio yogurt, the vet couldn't believe how much weight I got off her. I had her on the river swimming as well of course, took a year all in all to get the weight off, muscle on her and get her socialised
Don't give sweet potato or carrot as they have got lots of sugars in them, but you are OK with parsnips, swede, squash, courgettes etc.
