Jenny, I have had new frames. This two for one at Specsavers isn't strictly true. Okay yes you can get two frames with standard lenses. Brian and I both need specialist lenses which means a cost of approx £150 each on top of what we had to pay for one pair. No can do!
Anyway I have chosen a rather fetching plum frame I will post a pic when I get them.
Lynn you will be quite safe, I have given up my license

Jenny That made me laugh re. Flash and hearing the sachet etc.. Daisy is EXACTLY the same, I have to shut the bedroom door before worming, medication etc.. cause as soon as she hears something being opened other than crisps, biscuits or their treat tin, she is off and under the bed hiding!!! I always say it, this dog is far too smart for me

She drives me NUTS, didn't want to eat her dinner, then I sat down with a packet of crisps and voila, there she is begging me to share... which ofcourse I only did as she had eaten her din dins!!!

*no spoilt dogs live here*

Afternoon all

Been gone a while. Bloomin talktalk!! They didn't turn up last Thursday to upgrade us to fibre, then, Tuesday afternoon we lost broadband altogether. It's taken my hubby hours each day on the phone since then, being passed from one department to another telling the woeful tale, finally he managed to convince them that although their screen said we were on fibre we actually were not and that they must have switched off our normal b/b as it was showing us as fibre!!!!! I really thought he was going to explode. We were switched back on sometime today. Phew.

Anyhoo, I've had a quick read through but won't remember most. I did want to say a big welcome back to Jenny, I'm glad you feel better.
Lore, I'm glad you've seen the doc and got different meds. Hopefully you will feel better for them quickly.
H, I do hope that Dave is more upbeat when he gets home and you can both enjoy your weekend.
June, I hope the xray will help sort out what is causing you so much pain.
LS, I was really sorry to read of Loki's seizures, and that the lovely chap is on the up again
Moyra hope your tooth get sorted soon.

Well I've run out of memory now, so have a good evening all

Hi guys

Well today has been a non productive day. Have done nowt except watch TV, prepared lesson plans and iron kit. Got dinner on the go just now. It's nice to just do some mindless things so I don't have to worry.

Got an email from the support team from the Open University. I can defer to next year but keep my grades from this year thank goodness. I just have to keep up with the reading next year. So going to do that, it is a massive weight off my mind and now I can concentrate on the Higher. I need to get my essays emailed to the teacher though.

I hope I can spend some time recovering now and relax.

Gill its lovely to have you back. Isn't it awful how we miss the internet so much when its not available
Lore It'll have done you good having a chill day and having made the decision to defer your degree until next year. It should be enjoyable and not a chore so a wise move
June I hope you finally managed to leave the building to get your car sorted and get that x-ray done .
Daisy I seem to have one very bright dog and one who is more like a nervous wood pigeon .. if there is such a thing? He's always a little slow on the uptake, lives in his own little bubble but is quite a nervy dog and hates any confrontation and is very nervy meeting new dogs having been attacked when he was a mere puppy However, once he realises he's not going to be attacked he'll be another dogs friend for life ..... I adore him to bits but he is quite a challenging creature .
Nippy These offers are never quite what they seem .. there always seem to be conditions etc etc. I should think plum coloured specs will look fab with your colouring.
Lynn Its getting really chilly here now and I think you've got the same weather as us. What a difference from this morning and the last few days Enjoy your evening.

Both dogs have been fine this afternoon and Flash ate his tea with gusto (I only gave him half and will give him the other half later).

Not sure if I'll get back in later but will try to. If I don't enjoy your evening and see you tomorrow.

Back from X Ray, nice and quick, went in, handed in my form, sat down, someone came out and called my name, went in, was x rayed and out again.
Just going to give girlies their tea
DD Have you tried the drontal tablets, they must taste lovely because when I use them they come back for 2nds, which being the size they are, they get.
Rest of the time I use iliquid panacur 10% and syringe it in

That's good news Lorraine.

Jenny - The Monsoon dress was too small but in the end I really like the JL one best. I grilled OH (who is never forthcoming about what he considers girls' stuff like dresses ) but he preferred it too. My mum likes it and Carys likes it and even Michael preferred it!

BUT I am looking for a 9-year-old size because the 8 really just fits perfectly but quite tight around the upper back (all the swimming?) and we've got three months to go yet.

But I am relieved that I've found something I really like. It's discontinued so proving tough to find but I've been told there are some out there. JL are really good with their customer service!

Michael is on another course of ABs and the dentist is adamant he has to have the tooth out.

Hmm TW Thanks for that, I will have to look around and see what else I can get for next time, I got this through my vet and have used it before, 3 days of powder on their dinner, like I said I make up some cooked mince and veggies, Tilly LOVES it... anyway, Daisy is just Daisy, last night tonight and we can all get back to normal and worms (not that I think there was any) can begone

Right off for a walk!
