Not like a 'real' Rottie - apparantly!!

We met up with this very nice lady (who I'd not seen before) on our usual walk around the lake who had two very bouncy labs.

She said she was happy to let hers off with Marius if I was fine with it, which I knew he would adore so off they went for a great game of zoomies. All the dogs had a whale of a time, it made such a lovely change for to play with 'strange' dogs (most owners run a mile!!!)

We chatted as we walked and she asked if Marius was a pedigree Rottie, so I said of course yes. Then she said "He's not like a real Rottie is he?.......He has such a soft-looking face. He seems too nice to be one!!"

Errr, thanks I think!!! I did explain to her what real Rotties are like

I didn't take offence, she obviously meant it in a nice (if slightly cack-handed) way!!!!

"yes he is a real rottie!!" ...Its the other ones that arent!!

I have met an equal measure of soft lump rotties and rotties that scare me to be honest!! But i know its the owners fault the ones i have seen that were bad were all owned by chavs!!

Well done Marius! Mine would love to play with him too!!

I'd say that you've just converted another 'un-informed' member of the public to the merits of the true rotti, so well done to you and Marius
