Can you retrieve pics erased from memory card

I'm so flaming annoyed, all the pics I took over Christmas have somehow gone from the memory card, is there anyway I can get them back.

Have you looked in your recycle bin as you might be lucky.

I think you can retrieve them, with some software I believe its possible. TAke a peek.

Thanks guys, I downloaded a programme called photo-saver and managed to get some of them back, but not all of them, I could kick myself for not taking the cable that connects the camera to the pc with me, I wont be forgetting that again in a hurry

There is a program called Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery (a free program) , it will retrieve erased photos from memory cards.
