Thinking of getting a GSP

Right i'm seriously considering getting either another Weimy or a GSP, for showing and maybe working, but i'm not really up on GSP lines. Anyone with GSP's or knowledge in GSP lines, i'd really appreciate your advice.

It won't be for another couple of years yet, but I like to plan these things properly. Thank you!

Hiya Kel....I will pm you a link to an excellent breeder. She shows and works, she owns Islas father and the kennel is very well known.
She is always quite happy to chat to people about the breed...and has very good contacts with other breeders

Is there a breed acronym list somewhere ? Trying to figure out what a GSP is - German Sheep Poodle, Great Scot Pointer, Giant Scary Pug ?

Sadly Trixie's link isn't working so will toddle off to google to educate myself

ETA: well I was closer than I thought with my guesses - German Shorthaired Pointer

I'm sure you will love having a GSP, couldn't put you onto any breeders however, I only have rescue dogs. They are a long lived breed though, my boy, Russ, is 13 and my daughter lost her boy, Kata, at 15.5 years.

My Weimy didn't turn out to be a good match - she has had to go live with my daughter - she and the Vizsla bitch that I took on fight constantly!!!. Adorable as an only dog though and wonderful with my grandaughters.!!!

I think aswell Weimy tend to get stuck in their ways, I know some in rescues can never be rehomed with other dogs as they have always been only dogs, and are pretty tempermental like that.
