Fergus - 3 year old Staffy Cross

Fergus is a 3 year old staffie cross and is currently on foster in Nottingham.

The Fergus Fact File
Dog status: Good, would like to be the only dog in his new home
Cat status: Will chase, needs a home without cats
Child status: Good, like the quiet life so would like to live with older children only so that his beauty sleep is not disturbed!
House training: Perfect
Home alone: Happy to snooze for a few hours and may suit a full time worker if he gets plenty of walks and mental stimulation at other times. He is crate trained.
Basic training: Excellent recall and knows to sit.

Fergus is a laid back, coach potato sort of a dog. Once he has had a good walk and his dinner he is happy to relax at home and snooze the day away.
He m ay be able to live with a full or part time worker as he is happy to be on his own once his needs have been met. He would need walks, mental stimulation and company at other times. Fergus is crate trained and is happy to be left in his crate for a few hours. If he is left loose he does have a wandering mouth! He may chew and anything can be seen as fair game, slippers beware!

Fergus is living in a foster home with other dogs at the moment but in line with his love of life in the slow lane we feel he would be happiest as the only dog. He is good with other dogs out on walks but he can play rough, this means care has to be taken around small dogs.
He needs a home without cats.

Fergus has learnt his new name quickly and has excellent recall off the lead for a treat. He does pull on the lead but his foster family have fitted him with a harness which has improved things. He enjoys his walks and having a good mooch and a sniff but he does not have huge exercise demands. He does have one request though......not to walk in the rain!

Fergus travels well in the car and is house trained. He will be an easy dog to slot into your household and will make a fantastic, loyal companion.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form should be returned to Hope Rescue
