I feel like I'm bullying her but I can't just leave her to starve. I think we're just putting off the inevitable and I would have pts yesterday but the vet won't pts without good reason, which is fair enough but if she has a week of pain and suffering and is pts once we get the results what have we actually achieved?
Yeah we could be wrong but I don't think so and I'm not convinced making her suffer like this is in any way fair.

You're saying exactly what I would say, I really really hope that this week is worthwhile for her long term, otherwise all you do is blame yourself for all she's going through now.

So sorry to hear about Rio
While waiting for the results, have you tried mashed sweet potato with gravy?
I do hope you get some good news soon though..

Results should be in by Friday. I've just persuaded her to eat an entire large can of mashed up pilchards by throwing them on the conservatory floor a spoonful at a time. I did the same with some yoghurt but she gave that a miss after a couple of licks. She kept going back to lick the floor where the pilchards had been so I did the same thing with a tin of sardines, which she polished off too. No real interest in the yoghurt or cottage cheese so the others have polished those off. I then tried her on some chicken complan and she's had about half a serving. That's the most she's eaten in days. No idea why it's better off the floor but as long as she eats she can do as she pleases.

Exactly what my feelings would be too. Wouldn't care if she wanted to eat it off my LAP!
