Oh dear

Not good, they say he is at high risk of having Cancer/Lymphoma.

ALL his glands around his body are swollen, on his shoulder, behind his back knees. The fact he seems fine in himself and eating well means it is unlikely it is any other regular infection. Also because of his breed and age it is more likely.

They've taken 2 biopsys and hopfully will know more tomorrow.

Can anyone who has got any experience of dogs with Lymphoma please private message me if you have the time xx

Oh Lucie , I am so sorry to hear this.

If it is any comfort to you it is many years since we lost Emma with Lymphoma and drug therapy has come a long way since then.

Will wait to hear the results, thinking of you both (hugs)xx

Oh hon, I'm so sorry. I really hoped it wouldn't be what I suspected. The good news is, here at least, lymphoma is one of the few cancers that is reguarly and effectively treated by veterinary oncologists if you want to go the chemo route. I had a cat develop lymphoma and chose not to do chemo. Hopefully he biopsies will come back clean. I'm so sorry.

Thank you xx I need positive bits of info like this, I feel so clueless. We're going to stay positive for the boy, we owe him that. He's at a good age to treat, he's 6/7ish, so not too old to have the chemo.

Still awaiting results.....

I can't believe it.

His results came back, Lymphoma. 6-12 months, 2 years max life expectancy with Chemo.

He's only young, 6 or 7, he's the best dog I have ever known. He has never grumbled, fought or had a bad word with anyone in his life. He's been bitten, scratched, growled at and now had this awful disease with no cure thrown at him. It just isn't fair. I would do anything to make it go away, but it won't.

How do I manage each day knowing he is dying??? I honestly don't think I can do it
