Benj and suitcases

I got my cases out a week ago, since then Benj has been unsettled. He has been itchy with the other dogs, a bit more pushy and affectionate with me and has pushed up to the neighbours I walk with and wanted a fuss. They noticed independantly that he seems different.

I think it is the cases and I am sure he knows something is about to change in his world. This morning Hannah pointed out that his owners would have been packing to go away when she died (I found out because I rang to ask when they wanted me to pick him up).

As with how upset and unhappy he was when he arrived, I wouldn't have believed it unless I had seen it.

I am trying to be fairly normal and Etta is fine at the moment----she usually picks up fast from me.

Maybe he is very tuned in to body language etc. Maybe from being an only much loved dog, maybe from being talked to a lot?
