totally fed up

some barsteward threw a metal scooter though our windscreen so we have no car and we were suppost to be at a big show tommorrow
its going to cost between £200 and £360 for a new one and christmas has skint me and the police never even bothered to come and collect the cooter so maybe it will end up threwe the house window tonight

Is your windscreen not covered on your insurance Kerrie?
Mine is, and I only have to pay the first £50 if the whole windscreen needs replacing, and it doesn't affect my no claims bonus.
I needed a repair, and it didn't cost me a penny.

I agree with Heather-check your car insurance.Almost all insurance companies have a £50 excess and will only pay upto a certain amount for a new screen (normally capped at £180) and anything above this-you have to pay extra.

It isnt a Ferrari or something like that is it..?

no when we joined the inurence they asked us if we wanted windsceen cover we said no, its a j reg carina mark 2, so not a popular car

I didn't ask or pay for windscreen cover, It's just in with my insurance...I didn't know, but saw it when I read the policy booklet.
I am with direct line.

So check your policy book just in case!

hevver could be right they may have asked if you wanted extra cover so you don't have to pay access....i would ring them and ask ....

just checked we definatly arent covered, so peed off it was only an extra £30 for windscreen cover we will defo be getting it next year
