Nope cos half the time they have a budget of about £450, 000 and I know I will never be able to afford that and then I get annoyed when they are shown a fantastic house that I would happily sell my right arm for and they say 'There's not enough space' when it's a 5 bed massive detached place. And I feel like getting in the TV and sorting them out. I'm finding I get annoyed pretty easily lately ..........

Not really, already got one!

For all the romantic connotations it may have for some, there are definite disadvantages. You have to identify them and weigh them against the advantages!

No neighbours! Yippee! But that means no Neighbourhood Watch, and therefore higher insurance

The peace can, too often, make way for boredom, unless you're careful.

No local shops, for that last-minute essential.

Car an essential.

Just things that require to be thought about first!

Kitchen/diner, lounge, bathroom, one bedroom (but the loft is floored properly and can accommodate guests short-term). This wee place used to house NINE people in its earlier days (I know a couple of guys who were born here).

We bought it in 1993 for about £27.5K, nowadays it would fetch double that (but it's not for sale!). At the time it was built (about 170 years ago) it would have been quite palatial, by local standards!

Full of TVs, hifis, computers and Border Collies now, so yes, a bit small
