Sunflowers

I planted a few sunflowers this year for a couple of reasons:

1. because i like them
2. for the birds so they don't eat my veggies

Anyway they seem to have ended up serving a completely different purpose:

Was pretty pleased as I love to watch the bumblebees going about their work!

Thanks for looking!

Love sun flowers as well, we are going to have a 'who can grow the tallest' comp with the kids next year (if we ever finish the garden).

They are lovely pics

Do you know, every year I think about growing sunflowers and I still haven't got round to it. Great pics, I love bumblebees too....not keen on wasps though.

I love sunflowers. I planted some a few years ago and when my niece came to visit they were soooo tall it was like a magical forest for her!

I adore watching the bees go about their work. We have a tree in the corner of our garden that literally buzzes with bees in the summer. It's great!

They are brill for adding brightness to the garden and getting the birds away from your more treasured plants!

They are brill, something quite rewarding about seeing how tall you can get 'em!

Gorgeous pics Esme!
I love sunflowers too - though I tried dwarf ones this year. They were neat.
