Dilema - what to do?

I've put this under health and relationships

As I'm not working today I was meant to pick Hannah up from school at lunchtime today for 'home dinners' as a treat.

Anyway - I couldn't find the car keys - turns out Karen had taken my car to work and still had her car keys in her bag. It's not far to walk to the school but it was really chucking it down and I figured she'd just end up going back for the afternoon drenched so I phoned the school and arranged for he to have a school meal.

Karen was a bit sad when I spoke to her as Hannah loves the novelty of coming home for lunch and she's just sent me a text to say she's got a 'family' DVD and that we should light the lounge fire and have a nice cozy family evening.

But the England game is on

What do I do

Ooh what a dilema...but it is your birthday, so you should get to do what you want.

Not sure what time the game is on, but is it feasible to watch the dvd before or after it?

The only other thing to try & keep everyone happy would be to video the game & make sure you watched it before you heard anything about it...but it's never quite the same is it (particularly if you were planning on watching it in the pub!).

She will get over it.

Or watch the dvd when she gets in from school, plenty of time before kick-off

From Karen's point of view, you should record the England game........

I tend to have high tolerance of important football matches, but not all people do.

If you value your testicles in their current location, I would have the cozy family evening

Forget the football, it will be boring anyway. Have a good evening with the family to make up for lunchtime

We don't have the means to video it and there's no way I can watch England it in the pub here. I'm leaning towards watching the film afterwards but it'll depend on how tired Hannah is.

Will your TV do split screen?

Failing that put two TV's side by side in the living room.

That way everybody's happy.
