Thank you ALL, not the best timing as we only lost Reah a month today, so its been a real hard call. But Skip lived a wonderful life as I took him only hours old and handreared him, after he was born with 3 legs and the person that owned MOM brought him into the vets for PTS feeling that he was suffering.
The only suffering Skip ever knew was me popping him off my lap, or removing him off my bed (god love him) I was his Mom and he had the best life an animal could of wished for (not being big headed) but he never knew cruelty, hunger, or what it was like never to be loved.
He will be sadly missed as he was the one that greeted all newcomers (animal wise) in this house as soon as they stepped in.... infact he has been 'guilty' of fetching home a few stray cats in his time too But he was the perfect gent

Thinking of you-Skippers story really touched me

We also have a very vocal cat called Dougal (plus 2 more) who rarely miaows but makes funny pigeon-like sounds -especially in the night when he drags his jumper round-it was what was in the cat carrier when we brought him home 14 yrs ago and he LOVES it

Like Skipper he greets everyone-whether they want to be greeted or not and makes sure they go home with a coating of ginger hairs on their clothes

Skipper was so lucky to have found you
and to be able to say that he never knew cruelty, hunger or what it was like not to be loved is something you can be really proud of

Hope Skipper has met Lulu (our 14 yr old collie cross who we lost 9 months ago yesterday) and that they have met many friends at Rainbow Bridge
Take care
Maureen

Run free Skip.

Thoughts are with you all. It's so very sad when we lose our friends, but the wonderful, happy memories will never fade x
