I think it's fine for a breed like the poodle... Most seem to love the attention and grooming, no harmful products are used and then you can shave them down... so no harm done.

I also think its great and look impressive!

Dont see the harm as from the dogs point of view they had alot of attention having it done then futher attention for the photos and afterwards. Cassie would think its her birthday and xmas all rolled into one if it was her. Sadly as a lurcher she doesnt have the coat for this!

You could always shave a Poodle in one go and it'll be a little fleece for her - that people can customise

Or like boys have, with shaved patterns in their hair - have to be in the summer though..
