HI Kitty,

I just wanted to commend you for sticking with it, so many people ( on this thread aswell) would have taken Oscar down to the vets and PTS, and it just goes to show that you have an enormous heart and want the best for Oscar and dont hold his actions against him.

I have a 3 yr old who adores dogs, and I rally hope this wont put you off having another, or traumatise your son too much around dogs for the future.

Its wonderful that someone has come forward to help, and even if down th line, Oscar doesnt improve then you will know that you did everything you could for him.

I would say that makes a great dog owner, and I dont think you can even begin to blame yourself, hindsight is a wonderful thing. My own dog is a rescue with little background, but he accepted my son with no issues when he was born, and has proved himself with kids over and over again, however it could have gone the other way too.

I wish you your son and Oscar the very best, and I hope you will stay on Dogsey and give us updates etc.

Cassasin - you are a star !

Just caught up, Cassandra thats wonderful.

I hope it all goes well and you sound knowledgeable so Im sure you will make a break through even if it does take time.

Kitty I doubt anyone was having a personal go at you, I think alot of folk on here are dog lovers and some get more frustrated than others XXXXX

I think it is a sound idea that you have a dog for you and your family and I am sure this has been a learning curve I am sure you will find a loving mutley for you xxxxxxx and he/she will grow up with your son the best of pals

I'm sorry guys I am going to put my head on a block here, I must be the only person that has a real uneasy feeling about this...Not sure if I can copy posts from somewhere else across?

As I feel someone here is being economical with the truth.

I've contacted two well respected people within the world of Dobermanns and await their replies.
