Childrens paddling pool at home
When we go to shows or travelling I freeze a large bottle of water and put it in the crate with the dog. As it starts to defrost the water which will be very cool can be used for drinking. Need to cover the bottle with some thing I use an old pillow case or it can be too cold

Mine like ice in their water bowl, and have great fun dipping in for cubes then running round chasing them across the floor!

We flat don't show in the summer. Its just too hot here. (unless its indoor, climate controlled, which do happen here and there) I also walk early in the morning and late in the evening. In the late summer months I use a swamp cooler from ruff wear. Best investment ever! It works great and lasts for hours!

What do people do to keep their dogs cool when they're camping/caravanning?
I've bought a 'sun shelter' and hopefully that will help provide shade for our dog camping and on picnics.

My tip leave them alone in a shady area of the home.

What is your sun shelter made of? We went camping at the weekend, and it was WAY too hot. The dogs actually spent their resting time in the boot of our estate (with all the doors open), as the tent was like a sauna.

Thank you.

It was the heat in the tent I was more bothered about than anything - we couldn't sit in there, so we wouldn't let them either.
