I've got a nice rice dish that can be served cold but the link to the recipe is on my PC at home. I will PM you some links this evening.

hiya
I have a good pesto pasta recommendation.

Just cook some pasta ( farfalle works nicest) but penne would be fine too.
Either make from scratch a pesto sauce ( can post a recipt if you want to do that) or just buy a jar of pesto sauce, mix it in with the pasta once cooled add loads of good quality parmesan cheese shavings and some pine nuts.

Its delicious and will keep in the fridge for a good few days.

Have a look for nice salad ideas. Tuna and mandarine orange segments or potato salad with spring onion or rice salad with added onion peppers some sultanas and a bit of curry powder.

Boiled ham wrapped round pineapple spears or cream cheese with pineapple.

Iceland and Farmfoods do lots of party foods very reasonably

Dips and veggies

HTH Good luck

Lunch or dinner??

If it is nice weather, do a BBQ buffet. Ribs, burgers, sausages, potato salad, chicken drumsticks...easy and very tasty. Then do some finger food on the side; nice olives, cocktail sticks, crisps/carrot sticks and celery sticks with dip. Super.

Chocolate fountain always makes a nice buffet I think, also nice bowl of rum punch - if you get em all drunk they won't be bothered about the food!!
