I caught a bit of it and was surprised they showed them hunting with their lurchers, catching deer and hares. I didnt see the cock fighting thankfully and I ended up turning it off actually as I just thought the whole programme was a bit grim.

And quite rightly so, they were breaking the law and being very open about it. I did wonder if they had permission to run their lurchers over those fields too or if they were trespassing.

Can't say I am surpirsed by the way they live. To them it is the right way totally different culture. I didn't find it easy watching.

I dare say they were poaching I doubt if anyone will tackle them over it though I know round here they tend to turn a blind eye to them.

We unfortunately used to live next door to them in a pub that my parents ran and you're right, the police do sweet fa about them when they cause trouble which is a regular occurrence.

Most notable occasions were my dad and two of his regular Sunday customers get set upon by a group of gypsy men and one of the regulars getting his nose broken - took the police ages to come by which time the offenders had "moved on".

Then there was the occasion that one of the gypsy women threw a drink in my mum's face and spat at her.

Absolutely vile people with zero manners and very bizarre ways of living.

If anyone fancy an alternative insight into Gyspy life read the books "Gypsy Boy" and "Gypsy Boy on the run" by Mikey Walsh. I read both on holiday and was disgusting at some of the stuff that goes on.

These are not true gypsys they are travellers and horrible people. The old true Romany gypsies were and are nothing like these people.
