Support please :(

I have to go into hospital tomorrow (just for the day) for an Arthroscopy on my right knee.
They are going to flush my knee out, have a look around, tidy things up and then divide the muscle on the side of my knee that is pulling my kneecap over to one side.
Not a problem, I have not been at all worried. Now tonight I have suddenly gone into a panic.
I don't want it done, although I know I must, maybe I could manage a bit longer, will I wake up from the anaesthetic
Eerrrggggh please someone talk to me

Thanks Jeanette. I am having a GA, I have already signed the consent form I had my hip done under a spinal block - brilliant. I would choose that everytime if I could.

It`s your body and no-one can do anything to it without your permission. Why not talk it over with staff tomorrow and if you`re still not happy, ask for a block instead?
And take someone with you because otherwise you might feel overwhelmed.
Whatever you decide, I hope it all goes well and that you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks Claire. I thought I would be happier with a GA but as the time gets nearer I'm less sure.
I think it's just me looking for a get out clause
Hubby is taking me so I won't be alone.
Thanks for your good wishes.

I hope it all goes well tomorrow, I am sure you will be fine. I would personally rather have a GA than a block!
