The Dio & Ozzy debates furthers!!

What with Ozzy Osbourne doing his first solo tour since 01, for his recent album Black Rain..and Ronnie Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler & Vinnie Appice regrouped as the original Heaven & Hell crowd, also touring..the Dio & Ozzy debate furthers.
Whilst we see our good ol' prince of darkness going on stage and, at nearly sixty years of age, still getting the crowd going mental, and vocally he has never been as on form as at present..and it's very much affirming that the metal mdman is back. We also see a rather, hair loss suffering and dreadfully aged, Dio taking the stage thundering out some old Sabbath tunes.
Now..i am a huge Ozzy fan, but also like some of the stuff Dio did with Ozzy. But it really would seem with both doing their thing touring..and one [in the shape of our bat biting brummy rocker] getting such big reviews and such HUGE deals made out of a well earned comeback, that the supposed 'long awaited' comeback of Dio & the heaven and hell lineup really isn't as well received as what it may have been thought.
So the 27 year Ozzy & Dio debate furthers yet again

Hi Luke

It's about MONEY (Great Ralph 1 year on pics by the way)

The 'clever' guy is Tony Iommi.

H & Hell is brilliant but without Ozzy's 'celebrity' status nobody 'new' would hear it.

He (Iommi) is happy for Ozzy to introduce (with all his 'relatively new' found fame) Black Sabbath to a whole new generation of fans.

As a result there's a wave of new folk buying the Sabbath back catalogue and up pops Heaven and hell.

It's Iommi as 'Mr Sabbath' (not Ozzy) that then reaps in the dosh for H & H .

We would all like to see the original Sabbath back for a whirl but these guys are wrapped up in legal ramblings.

Look at Ritchie Blackmore with Deep Purple and Rainbow not to mention Dio being involved with them too.

Deep purple are tied by the knackers by Coverdale for some of their material and visa versa.

At the end of the day, the whole Purple / Rainbow / Ozzy / Sabbath / Whitesnake soup is so mixed up that I doubt any of the 'stakeholders' will let anybody line up to do anything definitive.

There's also some gumf stopping Ozzy doing anything connected with R.Rhodes if he's on 'Sabbath' duties.

I'd be inclined to just enjoy the original recordings for what they are !

Failing that (as with the Floyd) wait for some grand Sabbath gesture such as a charity gig on the back of a world wide disaster charity gig whereby they can all bury the hatchet and reform (with a tour) for the good of music (PR) at some convenient album aniversary - K'ching K'ching.
