Microsoft Outlook

Can anyone help me please? Outlook doesn't want to open - it's most definitely sulking big time.

When I click on the icon the box comes up that says "Micrsoft Outlook" etc. but then it just sits there and the package doesn't actually open. During this time, the CPU is whirring away, but nothing's actually happening. If you try to open another package, it just won't do it. I can't even open Task Manager so I can stop it....... The only way to go any further is to switch the PC off at the plug. Now I know this is not a good thing to do, but otherwise, I'm just stuck.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Oooh dear...sounds like possibly a registry corruption.
Do you have *System Restore* active?
Go to *Start*:*Help and Support* and select
*Undo changes to your computer with System Restore*
Follow the instructions, and it should reset your computer to the last fully working configuration.

May be a virus, have you run a virus checker lately?
