Thanks for that.... I was wondering at my own senility but if I read it correctly first time round I still stand for my earlier comments : a previously trained young dog may benefit from one or two sessions in a petstore with it's distractions, but a pup with no training experience is setting both the pup and the owner up for dissapointment IMO

I took Barney & Wilma into PAH once ~ Barney cocked his leg on all the stands, Wilma decided to guard the soft toy stand from all the other dogs, & at the check out, well-meaning customers succumbed to the "my mum never feeds me" look from both of them & stuffed them full of the free biscuits at the check out . Now they stay in the car while I shop in half the time!!

As for dog training or puppy socialisation classes in store, run by unqualified people ~ not in a million years would I take a dog of mine along|!
