dogs and milk

i dont know if you guys knew this.. but i didnt.. read it in a magazine today... so here goes:

Foods on the danger list:
Lactose: This is found in milk and dairy products and is not digestible to dogs. Lactase is the enzyme used to break down lactose and as a puppy is weaned away from its mother the ability to produce lactase declines.

wont be giving indie milk anymore then!

other things u shud never feed your dog are: chocolate, onions, garlic, raisins, grapes and fruit (in small amount as fruit is acidic and high in sugar and can upset digestive system)

just thought id share. u all probably know anyway!!

i'll type out some of it...

Garlic: this is also part of the onion family and in large doses may cause dermatitis and asthma. If used as a natural flea repellent i would recommended feeding for five days with a two week break

Did you know that adult humans dont do so well on lactose either? I was on a detox for two years where I stayed away from it!
