When we had our Jake (Boxer) honest he was

We would get...

"Is that a Bull Mastif?"
"No, he's a Boxer"
"Really? he looks more like a mastif to me"
"Well no, he's a boxer"
"Is he crossed with a mastif then?"
"No, he's a full KC registered Boxer"
"Na, he's got to have a bull in him somwhere he's too big to be a Boxer. Weren't they bred to bait bulls then?"
"Well amongst other things..yea, I suppose so"
"See now he coulnt do that coz he's too big, so he can't be a full Boxer then can he?"
"He's a BOXER!!!!"

the only bull is their stupid comments!!!!! Do we have to produce his papers to prove it

He's a Boxer!!!! honest...look.....

It's not just members the public though.....

whilst walking round the caravan park at a dog show some years back with 2 vallhunds and my cross breed...

Person1 .....what's that she's got there
Person 2 .... not sure, i think it's a toller
Person 1 .... oh yes, it must be, it's too red for a golden
Person 2 .... it's could be a hovawart
Person 1.... no, i don't think so, well, it could be

at which point i just keep walking

when i come back they are still at it, having firmly decided that he is in fact a toller.

to which they are calmly informed as i walk past again

i am glad you like him, but actually he's a mut
