Help with a mobile phone number from abroad

I've been given a mobile phone number from somebody in Germany, BUT, when I phone it it says it's not recognised???? It's a 12 digit number, and starts with 0176. Do I need to put something in front of that 0176 bit??? The thing is, she's actually in England now, and I'm supposed to be picking her up from the station on Sunday, and I can't if I can't speak to her first???!! Oh dear, I hope someone can help me out here!!!! Or I'll be in big trouble!!!

you will probably need to sway the '0' for the german international code, as although she is in England her phone still routes through germany first. I'll quickly look to see if I can find the code

The code is +49 which I think means you need to dial 00 49 176 ......

Hope that helps
