Leon and his new "Buster" type collar

My poor little lad really doesn't like the buster collars...he gets really withdrawn and just lays around looking sad. His new collar arrived today, its like an inflatable ring that stops them from getting at wounds, but they can still walk around, drink and eat etc. He isn't all that keen on it but is a lot happier than he was.

He is currently upside down on the sofa, snoring his head off

If anyone would like the link to where I bought it I am more than happy to share the info

Here are some piccies of him modelling the collar

Norty Wart:

Do I look gorgeous Mummy?

Some of him relaxing with his collar on:

I have phoned the vets again to let them know whats happening with it, they tell me to just keep sprinkling the hibiscrub on it. Bits are falling off all the time so I'm hoping it will just fall off altogether and then heal over..such a worry

That collar definitely looks more comfy than the lampshades.

Sorry to hear about his wart - I've evidently missed the news on that. I hope it does all soon fall off and heal over.

Aww, wee soul!

Looks quite good, Sheree! Must remember them for future reference!

Roxy gets warts and they almost always dry up, crumble and fall off! Seems to be just age related though, she is 9 years old. Hope Leon's does this too.

Thanks Fiona, just a huge wart, size of my finger tip appeared on the side of his face, now it keeps bleeding with bits falling off but vets don't want to risk operating because of his health/age. He is a lot more comfy with that rather than the buster collar x

Thanks Nicola, I do hope it dries up, it seems so full and moist, rather than crusty..fingers crossed it will dry up soon. xx

Aww bless him, he doesn't look happy!

The collar looks brill though - I'm interested in one for when Monty has his op on the top of his head. Do you think they could still scratch the top of their heads with one on??
