Book recommendations please!

ive been good with my wages this past couple of weeks, so thought i may treat myself to a couple of books, as i need something new to read anyway i have a weimaraner book on there, but could do with some ideas, both fiction and non fiction

what do you enjoy?

I'm afraid I torture myself with the true life stories of Hard childhoods, kills me everytime but I do enjoy them?

i have quite a few books like that. looking at some dog related ones this time, although i do fancy reading the jodie pilcout ones.

Just had a quick google of Jodie Pilcout (sp) she sounds interesting I may have to try a book or 2 of hers, I have no ideas on doggy books thou sorry

I'm the biggest literature snob going. Currently rereading For Whom The Bell Tolls, favourite book is A Handful Of Dust by Waugh.

I'd suggest something like Brideshead Revisted or The French Lieutenants Woman, Stuart; a life backwards, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Emma, Madame Bovary and Keep The Aspidistra flying. Those are some of my favourites, and all very readable.

My favourites atm are the Laundry series by Charles Stross. It`s an urban fantasy (the `Laundry` is the cover name for the MI branch dealing with inter-dimensional threats) but you have to be a bit of a geek....

I loved this when I read it a few years ago. Engrossing novel with a good dog story thrown in to.

well ive already ordered a weimaraner one to read, quite like reading about nutrition, there's always more to learn. and training wise i want something with tricks in i can teach daphni (i did find one which was 101 tricks to teach your dog)
