Litter on the way!

Well after a lot of thought and conversation with our vet, we decided to mate Jasmine one last time. She is 5 years old and 2 years ago had Flora, her singleton baby, who was born by c-section as she weighed over 1lb which is pretty chunky for a cocker pup.

We are pleased to say that Jasmine is now just over 4 weeks pregnant, with a minimum of 5 pups I have a very long waiting list of people waiting since last summer, who have kept in contact weekly and are still looking for a pup this summer.

Both mum and dad have been Optigen tested and dad has been hip scored, FN tested, both Glaucoma clear, both wonderful temperaments, so I'm quite excited about this litter. We have used dad before, he's my Dylans dad, so we're hoping for another lovely litter like Inca had last July.

Will keep you posted of any updates.

Scan picture below taken on Monday, 5 weeks pregnant, looks like a nice sized litter this time!

I have lots of people waiting for pups, hopefully we'll get enough for everybody waiting.

Hi Sheena, how are you? I have a new mobile number now, I'll send it to you Paul has my old one so the message you sent at the weekend went to him and he was in work....lol. Not to worry though.

Fingers crossed for Jasmine for a nice normal delivery without complications, it will be a nice way to end her breeding days, she can then put her feet up like my other girls.

Well just 11 days to go, it sure has gone by fast! Jasmine is fine, although hardly eating and I'm struggling to find something she likes, so any suggestions would be great thanks.

Things I have tried:

Tripe
Cooked Heart
Every type of tinned meat going
Steak raw and cooked
Chicken raw and cooked
Tuna
RC which she normally loves - both HT42D and starter
Scrambled egg
Hard boiled egg
Egg custard
Rice pudding
Sausages!!
Minced beef/steak

Glad all going well - not long to wait but it will seem like 'for ever'!

How about Porridge with Honey?

Seema an age since there was a litter in this House
