Opinions on this dog advert ..

What do you think ??

]2 x American bull mastiffs females x dogue de bordeaux - I have two american bull mastiffs x dogue de bordeaux, lovely dogs, but please read on >> been raised together since pups and now are 13 months old, these two need to be used as guard type dogs rather than family pets.. must be muzzled if walking as they recently bit another dog,be good for someone who can train dogs perhaps, getting rid of them as I have a family and these were bought for family dogs to be walked around other dogs. If you have land that you can walk them on away from other dogs then they would be fine, they just cant stand small dogs/animals selling them for £350 each,or £600 for the both.. gutted that we have to get rid of them as our children and us adore them but we cant no longer walk them without a muzzle or off the lead and we didnt buy dogs to have them on a lead or muzzled so they have to go as cant be trusted... sold as seen, I have told you everything that you need to know about these dogs so if anything happens after you buy them it is your responsibility, they have bit a dog so it is your responsibility after you buy them the care for them properly.

At least they are selling them with at least one of their problems in the open. A lot of "owners" would sell them on without saying this.

Surely, DA dogs should be worked with, with the owners?? How can anyone just 'pass on' a dog with problems like this?

Wow...That last bit really annoys me too "I have told you everything that you need to know about these dogs so if anything happens after you buy them it is your responsibility, they have bit a dog so it is your responsibility after you buy them the care for them properly."
Worsse thing is I bet their just going to go and buy some ore dog's to have as a "family" dog and they'll probably fail them too!
Hope some responsible people take these two

Not everyone feels capable of dealing with serious issues. There have been times when I've wondered whether it would be better for me and Rupert if I found him another home. At least they're being upfront about the fact the dogs are possibly dog aggressive (without knowing the details behind the bite it's impossible to say whether they really are aggressive).

I think that I would prefer an advert like this, which appears to be brutally honest, than those which just offer "dog for sale to good home" without owning up to major problems which have led to the dog being for sale.

These dogs are clearly not for the faint hearted, and the advert makes that very clear - so for me, the seller is doing nothing wrong. In fact I think that he is doing his best to find the right home for his animals.

I'd like to know what an American Bull Mastiff is first.
Then call the owners idiots.

That was my first thought too.
No hope foranyone who might actually want to research this type of cross, if the parents are made-up.

Oh and then advertising openly, this is a great chance for a numpty, or a part-ed numpty, to get hold of some lovely status dogs and do everything badly by them.

Sell the two together? Why not!
