i'll watch with caution, knowing how tv programmes tend to distort things to sensationalise.
the media are good editing out the true story.

I think they were upset because they thought it was going to be a positive programme, but the line of questioning used during filming etc led them to believe that actually it would be anything but so they are worried about the content. The BBC bought the programme in apparently. That's just what I've heard though so could be totally wrong.

The BBC being a public company won`t broadcast anything that could be potentially libellous, so this could all be hype - I doubt personally if we`ll hear anything we don`t already know - that some lines are prone to health risks, that some breeds lean more to fashion than good husbandry, and that some breeders are not totally in the business for the love of their breed - and that the general public are gullible.

Hiya,

I'll proabably watch it, mainly cos I like looking at dogs!

Just a note: it isn't on BBC 1 Scotland so if you have Sky TV you can get the English BBC1 on 974 or maybe watch it online on BBC I-player.

Wish they would do a programme ''Puppy farms/ BYB/people selling cross bred dogs with silly names for exorbitant prices exposed '' ..

The KC isn't perfect but in many ways it does a good job.....

now that i'd love to see, even if it stops the GP from buying from them.

'Rogue dog breeders' would be a good title.

I think they KC issued that statement because they realised half way through , that the line of the programme was not as it seemed...

It seems the produce of "Passionate Productions" was asking around other sites , looking for volunteers to go on the programme early on in the yr... asking seemingly innocent questions.., I think the TV vet Emma Milne (anti pedigree dogs) will also be consulted.

So I think we can guess the stance the programme will take.... totally biased against pedigree dogs...

Lets hope it is int.
