I certainly don't have lots of money.
I earn £90 a week, have to pay all my bills out of this, and I know that I have a pet, and she may get ill.
I do have insurance, but I have to find the money to pay for the treatment first - which I have been doing since September (Teagsn vets bills total around £3000 since September).

So weather you have insurance or not, you have to be prepared (and should know), that you may have to pay money out.

You wouldn't get a dog if you couldn't afford to feed it, buy it a lead and a collar etc, so why get one if you know you can't afford future vets bills.
We don't have Benji insured and my other half and I go halves to his vet bills. At the moment (touch wood) we have got his scratching under control again so he hasn't been to the vets for a few weeks

I suppose thats why I don't have another dog because we don't know what vet bills we are going to face with Benji with his skin condition.
