Westworld

Just started watching this on TCM (even though I'm sure we have this on dvd lol).

I love this movie, and Yul Brynner was such a good baddie.

Brilliant, isn't it? It's one of those films I can watch over and over.

excellent little odd movie...the soundtrack is equally odd, original, and brilliant

has to be yul Brynner's best role.

I'll get the DVD when I'm rich again!

I love that film too, I LOVE his horse he rides when he is chasing the other guy, its almost pink, so elegant and beautiful with effortless movement.

Dawn, that's exactly what I said when watching it last night! I know the horse was also mean to be 'android', and it was perfect the way it moved. The same way the gunslinger just walked after him almost the whole time, even though the other guy was running he just kept marching..... coz he knew he'd get him in the end

I was very impressed with yul's acting as an android. It was pitch perfect. Better than Arnie's version anyway. The only guy i have seen do such a good job was Robert Patrick on T2.

Funny, isnt it. what we regard as 'proper acting'?
Im often shocked how something like this, or a good comedy portrayal, is somehow considered less 'craft' than 'meaningful roles'.
Especially when it comes to awards like the Oscars.

doesnt make sense to me....

I just had a look on Play.com and neither Westworld or its sequel is available in region 2 DVD-what a bummer!
