Daily Thread. Monday, May 09

Good morning everyone, Nobody seemed to notice but yesterday whether it was wishful thinking or not Sue put us all back a month to April. Well must get on as Amber will be wanting her breakfast and I haven't done it yet.

You all sound as though you enjoyed the wonderful weather yesterday doesn't look so bright this morning though.

Keep warm and dry and above all safe and well and have a good day today, God bless.

Oo yes so she did. Never mind. Morning all and have a good day. I have just seen there is yet another programme about puppies on this week BBC2 at 8pm
Looked up the trainer that they are using and then looked at the prices she charges. I know she is in London but where am I going wrong down here in West Sussex. I would be rich by now at those prices. Oh well must away and do. Have a good day all.

Good morning

oops I never notice either no not wishful thinking just not with it

Hope you are feeling ok Moyra and have a quiet day

Brenda at the end of the day you can only charge what people are prepared to pay but no doubt you could add a little on the price for the start of next season. London is all about silly prices and people with more money than sense!

Lovely and warm here again. Just back from my walk with Teazle and now have to walk into the village to get a few bits from the lovely little hardware shop there

Have a good day and stay safe.

Morning all
Brenda, i pay £20 a month and if you fetch 2 dogs i think it is £30, the trainer put the prices up quite a while back now and it went form £15-£20...i didn't mind paying the extra in the least, she just said it was as the council had put the rent up (that was the trainer before my current one) London is just mental with the cost of everything.
Ooooo Sue, a proper little hardware shop, i love those, you find al manner of useful stuff in there
Moyra,i am sure you will have fed amber by now and had your first walk so i hope it was a good one
Got the Dr today to see about my back...hopefully i will get sent for an xray to see what is going on with it...oooo it has gone all gloomy outside, best not rain when i go out

Wouldn't want to really put our prices up unless of course the hall rent went up a lot. Prefer to keep people coming and learning. Must away got side tracked on here looking up hayfever remedies. Hoovering calls.

LOL Sue obviously needed to backtrack slightly
Hoping things have settled a bit at your end Moyra and you are OK
Training class I go to is £4 per session and there's a yearly membership fee, which is about £5 I think. Can't take Zen at the moment as she is in season, was going to take Lona, but it was too hot yesterday and once she'd had her swim she slept all afternoon, only waking up for tea then back to bed again.
I saw the most beautiful thing last night. Went out to check on everyone before I went for a soak and Zen and Kesh were outside, Zen had her paws around Kesh and she looked up at me, her tail wagging, she knew she should be in bed but wanted to sleep outside cuddled up with Kesh. Now Kesh must give her at least half a dozen tellings off every day, but there they were curled up together. I left them where they were, very warm night, Kesh likes her bed normally but not last night.
Got everything crossed here they find out what is going on with your back and do something about it, Griff

One cold winters day a snail went to a back door of a house and threw his shell against it.
The guy inside heard the knocking and opened the door to see the snail on the door step

Snail asked "Can I come in for a few minutes just to warm up?"
"No" said the guy and kicked the snail right to the bottom of the garden.

The following year the snail was again at the same back door and again threw his shell against it
When the guy again answered the knocking the snail said "What did you do that for"

TW, awww how lovely, i would have blubbed at that Lol. i really did love the photos of the girls swimming yesterday, our river is only deep enough for paddling in...well the bit i can get down to is, the bit that dakota threw herself into in winter with my dad was about 10 ft deep Lol
our training class is a monday night but they do an ASBO walk on a monday and wednesday and we are allowed to attend that if we want to as well...it is lovely as they help to train and socialise dogs who wouldn't normally be allowed into classes because of their behaviour (all done very safely onlead with enough space between the dogs)...my dogs are both good for others with issues as neither bark back when a dog kicks off and neither will go near another dog so they can be used as a stooge dog when you are doing BAT etc and dakota is lovely and non threatening in her behaviour when she meets another dog...considering she is a full on maniac she is very nice meeting other dogs
TW, i hope they can find out what is going on with my back...it is twice this month and once was standing up that did it, the other was getting out of bed! i can't keep taking the painkillers as they are causing problems with my tummy, the back brace does help but is a bit uncomfortable to wear in the hot weather

Back from the Drs, hardly any wait to see her today...mind you i would wait to see her anyway, she has put me on diazepam to see if we can relax my back, she wants to get in touch with Dr d to see if he thinks a bone density scan would be worth while....i go back next week but she has told me if i get worse, either go and see her or get to A&E...especially if i lose control of my bowel and bladder....that did happen on friday i had a slight mishap but i think it is due to the fact my muscles are weakened from catheterising...sorry TMI Lol. I have had a diazepam now and will wait and see what happens
