Just out of interest, do you think the 'clouds' in these photos look real and natural? I am just interested to know.

I think they look real and natural

Yes, you have some contrails that have spread out a little in your lovely still day, and some totaly natural mackeral sky and mares tails

again so natural that my fisherman Grandad would say 'Mares tails make tall ships carry short sails'

Of course contrails will spread out a bit and become cloud like - there is nothing magical about them - they are water vapour - and clouds are - water vapour
dosent mean anything is being pumped out of the planes

this is where storm comes in and says you are in denial

then, Ben, what happens next is you give stormpants some facts and figures so as to ask some pertinent questions.

then storm will answer those by linking up yet another random utube video of some old bod giving a lecture.

And I will be sorely tempted to say...

I'm going to assert that ball lightning is the product of a secret alliance between the government and a mysterious alien race from a galaxy far, far away. My reasoning, I don't understand it, so it can't be naturally occurring.

I'm going to bombard you all with YouTube videos from dubious sources, and attempt to insult you when you don't just believe what I'm telling you, whilst in the next breath trying to castigate you for believing (apparently) what you're told without question.
