man let OFF after hanging his dog

I cant believe the news tonight a man was seen by police walking along a street in aberdeen with a jack russel slung over his shoulder hanging from a lead ,he was stopped but unfortunatly the poor thing died shortly after ,the sspca have said they are astounded by the court today the man has been given 80 hours community service and thats it , surely this man should have been banned from owning a pet again the suffering that poor thing must have gone through does not bare thinking about honestly the more I hear about the human race the more I love my dogs things like this just make me so angry

there is no justice in this world - its about time animals were given the same respect as humans - after all they feel pain and fear like us - I really don't think there is much hope for the human race at all

Unfortunately,in the eyes of the law,a dog is regarded as an animal and therfore not as 'important' as human life. The magistrates hands are tied because he/she can only punnish this person according to goverment guidelines.

The goverment needs to re-evaluate animal welfare laws and make them more strict-which may deter @ss holes like this from harming their pets.
