Paws crossed for him

Our 10 year old rescue GSD was having difficulty getting up & was getting quite stiff, so I got her a bioflow collar & added a capsule of devil'a claw to her food every day & she's a different dog(well bitch) no stiffness or limping

Hi Everyone, just to give you a further update on Ozzy.

The vet got us to walk him up & down outside, then gave him a thorough examination in the surgery afterwards. He said he is 99% sure it is a cruciate ligament tear or break which unfortunately, is what I suspected .

He is going to be given an X-ray tomorrow under sedation, so they can X-ray both legs to see what the problem is for sure. Although it is his back right leg that is the problem, if it is down to the angulation of the joint chances are it will eventually affect the other leg . We are dropping him off at 9.00am tomorrow and Sid will collect him at 5.oopm (I'm at work until 5.30 so cannot go).

At least we are on our way to getting this resolved, hopefully he will be fine after the op and a lot of rest & TLC. Vet said if all goes well after the op, he should be more or less fully fit by week 8.

I will of course give another update tomorrow after the X-rays. Many thanks to everyone for your support and kind words, means such a lot at times like this - cheers. :smt023
