What a gorgeous pup. Obviously loves his Tennis ball hopefully you can use that as a reward for brave behaviour. I am sorry I don't have any advice to offer and much of what others have said is excellent advice especially the training classes .

One thing I would stress, and someone else has mentioned it, is be as confident as YOU possibly can, think confident, walk confident and even though you are sure x y or z will happen keep thinking this is the time Avek will lovve the traffic, or this is the time Aveck will love the visitor etc etc. As the more confident you are the more he'll relax. Also in an attempt to strengthen the bond try to make Aveck do something for everything...nothing to taxing, just simple things like a sit before a treat, or his meals, a sit or a come or anything before a game or a cuddle and get everyone in the house to do the same.

Lots of praise for tiny steps forward (and to start they will be tiny) and ignore negative responses. Also don't be tempted to rush things, make sure Aveck is 100% happy before moving on. So eg today he was gret on the step, repeat this for a few days then gradually move towards the gate. If at any time Aveck gets stressed go back to the previous stage until he is 100% comfortable once more.

Good luck but with lots of patience and love you'll get there. He sure is a stunner in the photos

Well done Kirsty xxxx

Good luck with your boy, give him lots of love and praise, and good luck with the training. Thank goodness they've started you off on the right track and they're close enough to attend. You won't know this boy in a couple of months. Please stay on Dogsey and let us know of his progress, I for one will be watching with great interest, having got a white myself, they're gorgeous aren't they

some people has said i have to be cruel to be kind and force him to go out...
No, you are right and they are wrong. If you do that he may get more and more frightened.

I'd suggest getting professional help, because although you may do well on your own if you are very lucky, it may be hit and miss - whereas he's young, and if you get reputable help now, it will I'm sure be well worth it in the longer run...

I'd suggest trying David Ryan in the link above, he's so so good; if not someone from here:

http://www.apdt.co.uk/local_dog_trainers.asp

Here's some info on socialisation:
http://www.puppyschool.co.uk/advice_...alisation.html

and how to find a good training class http://www.puppyschool.co.uk/advice_..._training.html
http://www.apdt.co.uk/choosing_dog_trainer_uk.asp

As it says on the info from Puppy school, it may be better to have one to ones at first if the pup is very shy...
