Newfi babies

Thought I would leave some pictures of my lovely soon to be very big bears.
These cuties are nearly 17 weeks and weigh just over 20 kg each.
They love to run on the field near my home playing chase with our elderly Collie cross.
I have read that they are only meant to be exercised for 10 mins twice a day. Mine wont accept this as enough, its more more more please. Thet get 10 -15 mins in the morning, when my OH walks them before walk.
In the evening I take them on the field to run off their leader for nearly half an hour. They would go for longer if Id let them.
They are slowly learning to come when I call them, mainly because I have learned, the way to get them back is to offer bribes eg training treats
I absolutely love these girls to bit and would love to hear anyone elses Newfi stories.

2 puppies in the house is much less work than 3 kids!!lol.

Truthfully Im not finding it that much work - they are very loving and affectionate- you get twice the trouble at times but are repaid by more than double the love. I wouldnt swap them for the world.

Two huge puppies at once,,, you must be a saint

Adorable both of them... love this breed.

Just a little advice, please take the exersice advice seriously.. these are going to be a giant breed and the damage of to much exersice on their joints at this stage will come back to haunt you later on.

Giant breeds need to be handled with extra care regards their exersice, and if the breeder has already warned you of this, its best to take note.

The should tire each other out in the garden , and use the lesser exersice as socilazation

They are adorable.

Have to agree with JB on the exercise my Bernese has been exercised carefully and we are finding he is already having joint problems and he will not be 3 till next month. Both parents hip and elbow scored and good scores so it is worth limiting the exercise to 5 minutes per month of age.
