Yeah..... asking total strangers for help and then getting snotty when it's not what you want to hear doesn't work out well.

Good luck with your dog.

A bone is a high value reward for a dog, I understand you'd rather he chew on a bone rather than you but it's still rewarding his bad behaviour.
You need to teach him commands that you can use in this situation which is why I asked what commands he knows.

There's a lot of judgment coming out in these posts, when it would really be helpful if people just gave advice. Don't pretend you know what it's like to be in somebody else's shoes. That would be my advice.

Really and how do you give advice when you can't get answers to basic questions? You also know nothing about us, so my advice is assume nothing.

And how about giving advice to the person who has the problem?

Because sometimes it's the dog. There's something mentally wrong with him and we're doing everything right. So keep your judgment to yourself. Like I said, I'm looking for helpful advice

Thank you. I agree. I don't need the judgment. That's the last thing I need.

Apparently you don't need advice either as you're doing everything right. You've already decided it's the dog and there's something mentally wrong with him, what advice could we give you if that's the case? Personally I doubt it is the case, but the dog has the wrong owner.
No one ever does everything right, different dogs require different approaches and they don't all respond in the same way, experience teaches you that.
