Be careful what you wish for....

How true is that saying!
For weeks I have been saying oh how I wished we had a hedgehog. I haven't seen one here for years.

In the corner of our garden there is about 2ft square of no mans land not sure who it belongs to but it was an easy route into next doors garden so it has been blocked off with wire netting to stop Pepsi making her escape.
I was in the garden when I missed Peps, called her and she scrambled over the top of this wire netting........with a hedgehog in her mouth

a) how did she manage to scale a 5ft wire fence, b) how did she carry an adult spiny hedgehog in her mouth as she did so

Brian took it out the front and it has now crawled way under the hedge.

Where there's a will there's a way! Haha
Maybe Pepsi was just trying to please her mum?
Glad to hear the hedgehog was okay, and I hope Pepsi's mouth is too.

SJ, she looked so pleased with herself, oh how I wish I'd had my camera with me
Pepsi seems fine and the Hedgehog has wandered off under the hedge, back to next door where there is no dog!

Cookie knew we had a hedgehog in our garden, he would only look for it at night. Often he couldn't find it and we never let him get close if it was there, but I always found it interesting that he only thought to find it at night and never during the day.
We actually think it might be nesting at the top of our garden where we have a very overgrown area. I'm looking at finding a hedgehog house as we want to sort the garden out.

Lacey I suspect it was George Clooney in disguise
SJ it's funny because Peps has been acting a bit weird for the last few nights so I think she knew it was there.

At least it wasn't a rat.
See Pepsi heard your wish and it was her command. Glad she is ok you could of been or the vet could of been picking prickles out of her mouth. She must have a soft mouth.
